Liturgy Committee Home > Liturgy >
The Liturgy Committee focuses on three main areas:
- To study the theology, scripture, and history of the liturgy as a basis for understanding the celebration of the sacraments
- To discover within each other a sense of community and to bring that experience, as a committee, to the Parish.
- To pray together and put into action the knowledge we have gained, and the prayer that has helped us to know Jesus – the center of our efforts as a committee.

Ministry of Hospitality
Ministers of Hospitality are greeters and ushers on Sundays at Mass. They welcome all who come to Saint Anne’s and provide assistance with the collection taken up during Mass. If you are interested in serving as a Minister of Hospitality, please contact the Rectory at 516-352-5904 and a member of the pastoral staff will contact you.
Saint Anne’s is blessed to have a dedicated group of men, women, young adults, and children who comprise the Parish’s music ministry. Coming to the choirs with varied levels of musical experience, members share their love of God and for the parish community by inviting others to prayerfully participate in the liturgy.
Music is a genuine form of prayer
How we sing as a church is very important so that Christ may be present in sung and spoken forms of prayer. The active participation of everyone is important to the community. The final goal is not the song and how it sounds, but the prayer that is raised to God.
