Confirmation allows the Confirmandi (candidates for Confirmation) to freely and intentionally commit to promises that parents made for them at baptism—participation in the mission of Jesus Christ by living a life in the Spirit. The decision to receive the sacrament of Confirmation is essentially a life choice, a commitment to live one’s life to bring about the Kingdom of God in the world by celebrating and making use of one’s unique gifts and talents in one’s families, school, workplace and community.

Young people prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation through the parish’s Faith Formation program, being confirmed in the spring of eighth grade, while adults who wish to receive the sacrament do so through RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults).

For more information, please contact the Faith Formation Office at 488-1032 or the Rectory.
