Youth Ministry

All teens in the parish, grades 9 through 12, are welcome.  Please join us!

Saint Anne's Youth Ministry is about high school teens finding a connection with our Church. The group is founded on three main values: faith, community and service. At our regular meetings there are games and activities that encourage teens to form new friendships and have conversations with many different people. Members come from a variety of high schools, both public and Catholic, in our area and all are always welcome.

New members are always welcome!
For more information please email Bill Leone at bleone@stannesgc.org or call (516) 352-5904.

Putting their faith into action through service to people in need is an important part of Youth Group.  We are not just about building a small community separate from the Church but look to assist in various ways both in and out of the parish.  Helping teens develop their ability to teach in Faith Formation, speaking with the Confirmation classes, preparing and delivering meals to people in need, sponsoring families in need for Thanksgiving and Christmas and collecting food for Loaves and Fishes are just some examples of our efforts.

Youth Ministry Service: Thanksgiving and Christmas Sponsor a Family

Saint Anne's Youth Ministry sponsored a family in need this Thanksgiving and Christmas through our Loaves and Fishes program.  To help fund this effort, members held a Bake Sale on Sunday, December 7th.  To see pictures from the event, please click here.

Special thanks to the many parishioners who purchased delicious homemade cakes, cookies and brownies (and to all those who baked in support of the effort)!

The teens purchased food and gifts for a single mom from Wyandanch who has 4 young children and is doing the best she can to provide for her family.

Youth Ministry Service: Trick or Treating for Canned Goods

On October 26th, members of the Saint Anne's Youth Ministry collected food for people in need. Thanks to the generosity of Saint Anne's parishioners and neighbor's and the enthusiasm of the teens, several car loads of canned food were collected in the neighborhood. A special thank you to the Youth Ministry leaders who accompanied the teens.  To see more pictures, please click here.

The food was delivered to St. Mary of the Isle Parish in Long Beach, who had called Saint Anne’s to say their shelves were empty.
