Movie Night @ Saint Anne's

Summer Movie Night at Saint Anne's - Please Join Us!

Presenting: "Romero"

Date: Tuesday, June 30th

Time: 7:00PM

Place: Our air-conditioned cafeteria in Saint Anne's School

Last month in El Salvador, Archbishop Oscar Romero was beatified, a step toward canonization.  Archbishop Romero was martyred in 1980 as he was celebrating Mass.  He was a champion of the people of El Salvador and gave his life for them.  The movie, Romero, traces his life and journey in his ministry with the people of El Salvador during a tumultuous time in their history.

We will show the movie “Romero” in our air conditioned school cafeteria on Tuesday, June 30th at 7:00 PM.  Please call the rectory (352-5904) or email Sr. Judy (srjudy@stannesgc.org) to let us know if you will be coming so that we have enough chairs and popcorn for the show!

At the movie presentation there will be a free will offering for the ministry of Sister Flor Buruca, OP, a Dominican Sister of Amityville, who runs a camp each year in El Salvador for young children.  Sister Flor will be here with us that evening.  She was growing up in El Salvador during the time of Archbishop Romero. Sister was present at his beatification in May!
