Vatican II - an Opportunity to Learn - Registration due (Faith Formation)
Date: 10/15/2014
Location: Saint John Vianney Room - Rectory
Time: 7:30PM - 9:00PM
An opportunity to learn what the Vatican Council did and what it means for us in today’s Church
Pope John XXIII’s announcement of the Second Vatican Council on January 29, 1959 came as a surprise to most of the Church! From 1962 – 1965 the bishops of the Church met in council sessions and produced documents that have come to shape the Church as we know it today. This spirit of Vatican II will continue to influence the church in the years to come.
As we celebrate the 50 years since the Council, Father Peter and Sister Judy are offering four evenings of study on the documents of the Council. We will explore the Constitutions on the Sacred Liturgy, the Church, the Church in the Modern World, and Divine Revelation. Through presentations, and video we will learn what led up to these documents, what the documents said, and what they mean for us today.
The sessions will be held on Thursdays, Oct. 30, Nov. 6, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20 from 7:30 – 9:00PM – St. John Vianney Room in the rectory. A suggested donation of $20 is asked to cover materials. Please call the rectory office, 352-5904 or email Sister Judy at srjudy@stannesgc.org to register or for more information.
Registration by Oct. 15th is requested so that materials can be ordered.

Location: Saint Anne's SChool Library
Time: 7:30PM
Do you or a local friend or neighbor have a child entering Nursery or Pre-K in 2013? Consider the option of the highly successful Saint Anne's Pre-School program. In addition to a nurturing environment built on the foundation of Catholic values, children will also have the opportunity to experience our state of the art facilities, such as the Saint Anne's School technology lab, the library and even take their first official gym classes. Saint Anne's is committed to a well rounded experience right from the start.
Our student - teacher ratios are small, guaranteeing a more personal experience for each child. Nursery classes are limited to 16 students and each class has a full-time teacher and a full-time aide. Nursery classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday with sessions available both in the morning or in the afternoon. Four day morning and five day afternoon sessions are also available.
Our Pre-K program is a five-day session with mornings and afternoons available. We also offer an additional extended day option. Class sizes are limited to 16 with a full-time teacher and a full-time aide. Students also have the chance to interact with the upper grade students, as 7th and 8th graders from Saint Anne's offer assistance to the children.
We will be hosting an open house on Thursday, October 23rd at 7:30PM in the school library with a chance to meet the faculty and some of the current Saint Anne's School parents. We hope you will share the word and invite some friends and neighbors to join us!

Vatican II - an Opportunity to Learn (Faith Formation)
Date: 10/30/2014
