Confirmation
Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation. In Confirmation we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and freely and intentionally commit to the promise that our parents made for us at Baptism – participation in the mission of Jesus Christ by living a life in the Spirit. Confirmation is a commitment to live one’s life to bring about the Kingdom of God in the world by celebrating and making use of one’s unique gifts and talents in one’s family, workplace and community.
Young people prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation through regular participation in the parish’s Faith Formation program, being confirmed in the spring of eighth grade. For more information contact the Faith Formation Office at (516) 488-1032 or click here.
Adults who wish to receive the sacrament do so through the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). For more information contact the Parish Office at (516) 352-5904 or click here.
