Families in Service
Saint Anne’s Families in Service Ministry offers the opportunity for families, especially those with young children, to come together for service projects several times a year. Children learn firsthand the rewards of volunteerism in a shared experience with their families.
Our Families in Service Ministry events include both a fall and spring Sandwich Making project, Christmas Caroling at the homes of our senior parishioners in December, and a flower planting day in late spring. Working together through Families in Service is a wonderful way to answer God’s call to love and serve one another.
Thank you to all who participated in our Families in Service Breakfast Bag Drop Off on Saturday, October 24th. Over sixty bags filled with nutritious and tasty breakfast foods were collected and delivered to families who receive food from an outreach center in Mineola. The bags of candy collected have been delivered to the Nassau County Department of Social Services, where they will be given to families in need to 'sweeten' their Halloween. Thank you to all for responding to God's call for us to love and serve others.
