Seven (7) consecutive Saturdays starting January 10, 2015 in the St. Anne’s Gym (McCloskey Auditorium).

Registration Fee $50 (T-shirt included).

12 Noon to 1PM – 2nd and 3rd grade girls

There will be a Holy Hour with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday, January 2nd at 8:00PM in Saint Therese Chapel. All are welcome.

The next meeting of the Catholic Daughters will be on Sunday, January 4th at 1:00PM in the Saint Anne's School cafeteria.  Bagels will be served.  Members can bring additional foods to go with the bagels.

Parish Social Ministry January 10, 2015 - January 12, 2015 All weekend Masses Membership Drive - Saint Anne's Professional Networking Group

Group members will be speaking at all the Masses this weekend to briefly tell parishioners about the group, encourage you to complete a short survey and extend a special invitation to join the group...online and in person.  

 

Our mission is to provide a venue and platform through Saint Anne's Parish for developing professional connections among people, sharing information and discovering resources.  Our goal is to empower those seeking personal or professional growth with actionable information.

 
 

Saint Anne’s Professional Networking Group is for you, if you are: 

  • Currently employed and willing to advise or mentor a fellow parishioner; or offer a workshop/presentation in a specific skill area
  • Currently employed and seeking professional development and possible career transition
  • Actively seeking new employment 

With monthly face-to-face meetings at Saint Anne's and online connectedness to a wide network of friends and fellow parishioners - already 268 strong, there are many ways to be of help to others and/or find help in your own search.

Our next onsite meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 28th at 7:30PM in the Saint Anne's School Cafeteria

Parish Social Ministry January 11, 2015 6:30PM Youth Ministry Meeting

Saint Anne’s Youth Ministry is a great way for young people to grow in their many relationships—with God and themselves, with their friends and family, with the Church and the larger community.

The group is open to all teens in the parish, grades 9 through 12. Youth Ministry meetings take place on Sunday evenings twice a month at 6:30PM in the school cafeteria and new members are always welcome. Pizza and soda are served.

Divorced and Separated Catholics is a group which provides friendship, prayer and support to those who are presently working through or have experienced divorce or separation.  Meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.  Click here for more information.

Alert Event January 15, 2015 - January 16, 2015 ongoing Registration for 2015 Indoor Track Season

Registration for the 2015 indoor track season is open through January 15!

  • Indoor track is open to all children ages 5-15 as of February 1, 2015.
  • 15-year-olds must have turned 15 after September 1, 2014.
  • Children who train with a high school track team are not eligible.
  • All athletes must have a St. Anne's track/cross-country uniform tank and shorts. Information about ordering apparel will be e-mailed to all registrants.
  • Meets will be in the fieldhouse at St. Anthony’s High School in Huntington, on their state-of-the-art 200m indoor track.
  • The meet schedule is: Sunday, January 25 from 3-6pm; Sunday, February 15 from 3-6pm; Sunday March 22 from 1-4pm
  • Practices begin Wednesday, January 14. The entire team will practice together, on Wednesdays from 6-7pm in the St. Anne’s gym; and Saturdays from 1-2pm on the Garden City High School track.

Worship January 22, 2015 Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children

On this day, the Church gives us prayers rooted in hope that all governments, especially our own, seek a truly just society, one in which the common good of all people, including the most vulnerable, is sought.  We are reminded of the beauty and sacredness of the lives around us.

We remember, we intercede, we hope.

Parish Social Ministry January 24, 2015 - January 25, 2015 Before and after all Masses Saint Vincent DePaul Warm Winter Clothing Drive

Coats and Warm Clothing Needed!

Our local Saint Vicent DePaul shop in Garden City Park serves many people who are in need of warm clothing, especially with winter's chill upon us.  This would be a good time to look through your closets and bring your clean, gently used coats and warm clothing to Church on the weekend of Sunday, January 24-25, when the Saint Vincent DePaul Society wil have a truck on hand before and after the Masses to receive them.  Thank you for your support!

Need something to do on a Sunday in January????

On Sunday, January 25th at 3:00PM in the cafeteria we will be showing the documentary “The Francis Effect”- a unique look at the unfolding story of Pope Francis. From the very first moment he appeared on the balcony of St. Peter’s, Pope Francis won the hearts of the people with his characteristic humility, simplicity and closeness to the poor. The Francis Effect takes a critical and in-depth look at how one man has quickly changed the face of Catholicism at a moment when no one really expected it. This documentary has been produced by Salt and Light Catholic Media.

Parish Social Ministry January 31, 2015 - February 01, 2015 ongoing Souper Bowl Sunday

In January, everyone seems to talk about the Upcoming Super Bowl.  We try to use the Super Bowl as a vehicle to collect soup for the parish outreach centers we serve.  This year the Super Bowl is on February 1st.  From this point on until February 1st, when you come to Church, please think about bringing soup with you.  If you have teens taht would liket to help those in need, you might encourage them to have a local soup collection in your immediate neighborhood.
